Goochland County Fire Rescue Company 5 would like to invite everyone to come out to our 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off Contest. Have you ever been told you have great Chili? Do you like to cook? Then sign up to have your chili in the contest to win $100 for 1st place. If cooking isn't your thing come out to be a taster. For $5 you get to taste all of the chili, cornbread, drink and vote on your favorite chili. We will also have a 50/50 raffle. So come on out to support your local first responders and eat some good chili!
***Please have your chili at the station and ready to serve by noon on the day of the cook off. Chili must be homemade. You may use any ingredients you wish, but be prepared to answer questions from those with food allergies as to certain ingredients.
Just looking for more information on the cook off. Do you make it there or at home? In some cook offs you can't have any chunks of vegetables other than beans. Just need rules clarified and can't seem to find them on your website. Thank you.

Thank you for contacting us. Make the chili at home and have it ready to serve at noon on the day of the cook off. Everyone has brought their chili in crockpots so it stays warm, but feel free to bring it however you need to. You can use any ingredients you want! Make sure you are prepared to answer customers questions about ingredients if they have a food allergy question.
